Sugar Shack’s owners started Orbital Market to help local Swindon businesses. The first market happened in February 2024.

About thirty businesses had stalls selling food and drinks at the shopping center. Many sellers sold out their stock by 1 PM, and the owners were happy with the great response. Dean and Elly hoped it would grow bigger monthly.

They tried for a year to get market permission, but “circumstances we couldn’t control” stopped them. Consequently, they canceled January and February 2025 markets.

The market relaunch is March 29 and 30, 2025, bringing it back to Swindon. Elizabeth Towers-Clark manages the market events. “We’re excited,” she said about the shoppers and traders.

The market celebrates local talent and builds community. Shoppers can find special things while supporting local small businesses.

The market is beside the Orbital Shopping Centre’s park for kids and offers food sourced locally. You can also find unique gifts and artisanal items.

The market will be on the last weekend each month in 2025. Sugar Shack asked residents to support local shops there, and Elly and Dean thanked everyone for being patient.
