Aldi plans a new Orpington store on Farnborough Way, opening before Christmas. Part of a bigger expansion plan.

Aldi is opening other stores, too. They’re going to Wimbledon and Fulham Broadway. Caterham is also getting one. This is part of a big plan near the M25. It costs about £55 million.
Aldi didn’t say where other new stores are. These will also be inside the M25 area. More stores will open across the UK. Aldi will spend £650 million in Britain by 2025.
This money will upgrade existing stores. The Aldi in Colindale will get bigger. The chain wants to open 100 more stores in London later. This will create about 3,500 jobs.
Aldi already has 67 stores inside the M25. Sixteen of those are actually in London. They are the fourth largest supermarket in the UK now. Aldi has been named the cheapest supermarket. Which? gave them this award four years in a row.
Aldi wants everyone to buy good food at low prices. Many London shoppers don’t have an Aldi nearby. They want to fix that problem. Too many pay high prices at other stores. London is very important to Aldi. They want to bring more Aldi stores to shoppers there. More news about London’s new stores is coming. Look for updates later this year.
