Joseph Guest turns 40 and honors his niece, Larissa Fellows, who died from leukaemia, by raising money for Leukaemia UK.

Larissa got an acute form of leukaemia and had no symptoms before getting sick. She died within days of her diagnosis, shocking their entire family. Everyone is heartbroken by their loss.
Joseph decided to do these challenges to honor Larissa and raise money, as well as to raise awareness for Leukaemia UK. Larissa always said, “One life, live it,” so he wants to live his life fully now and raise funds and awareness for her.
Joseph will do 40 different challenges, some impressive, and others quite silly and funny. He planned to jog to his parents’ house, which is about 100 miles from his home.
He’ll run the Leeds Marathon in 2025 and also plans to climb the Three Peaks. Cycling up Cragg Vale, England’s longest uphill road, is also on his list. Friends and family offered more ideas, many containing the number ’40’.
His more unusual challenges include tasks like eating forty doughnuts in a single weekend, an idea from his children. He plans to fast for forty straight hours and also wants to learn forty accents.
Another odd challenge is wearing forty clothing items for an entire day. He will spend forty seconds in an ice bath and also be silent for forty hours.
He started with paragliding in South Africa, flying off Signal Hill for his first challenge. Then he walked up Table Mountain too.
