Hey, listen to this story! Michael Jones, 38, is in trouble. He’s from Oxford, and they say he stole art. It was back in 2019, on September 14th. The artist was Maurizio Cattelan, from Italy.

Two other guys are also involved: Frederick Doe is 35 and from Ascot, and Bora Guccuk, 40, lives in west London. They’re charged with moving stolen stuff too. The trial is happening at Oxford Crown Court right now.

The trial had a weird delay yesterday. A jury member got hit by a car during the lunch break. The juror came back, but they went to the hospital. The trial should start up again today.

Apparently, five guys drove to a house near Woodstock. Jones was one of them. They used two stolen cars for the trip, broke into the palace, and took the art. The stolen artwork? It was a golden toilet.

The toilet’s name was “America.” It was made from 18-carat gold and actually worked. It weighed about 98 kilograms. They insured it for six million dollars! The gold itself was worth about £2.8 million back then.
