Kathryn Croxson transforms a vacant High Street building with art, boosting local appeal and softening vacancy.

Last December, she also worked on a Turl Street building. She aims to improve the appearance and health of High Street. She believes the colors she uses make people happy and bring color to winter.
Mike Watson and his team at Vail Williams, a property consultant group dealing with homes and stores, helped Kathryn. Mr. Watson met Ms. Croxson through Lincoln College, where he works.
Empty stores can negatively impact an area’s appearance and harm the business of other stores. This can lead to landlords receiving lower rents.
While the store market is currently doing well, units can still remain empty for a period due to legal processes. Kathryn’s window art helps mitigate this issue by enhancing the area’s look and softening the negative impact of vacancy.
Mr. Watson appreciates her work and wants to collaborate with her on more retail locations. He believes her unique and vibrant displays add something special to these spaces and elevate a low point in a property’s life.
