New cafe plans, athletics track upgrades, housing extension & training area continue in Oxford.

These cafes will offer a free workspace for everyone and also function as regular bank branches for customers. People and businesses can use the co-working spaces, which include rentable rooms and a cafeteria meeting area. Work cafes operate in many nations, including in Leeds, Milton Keynes, and London Euston.
The Global Exchange wants to move into 129 High Street, which was Virgin Money’s old place and Northern Rock used it before them. They submitted plans for new signs and an ATM. Oxford City Council received these applications.
Police have security concerns about the ATM, believing the plan doesn’t address crime risks well. Therefore, the police do not support the application now.
Oxford University wants to improve its running track with a plan to host more events. The university sent the application to the city council.
The project aims to improve the track’s quality, allowing a wider range of athletic events, and better access for people with disabilities. The track plan respects the site’s heritage and keeps the same alignment as when Roger Bannister ran there.
Shkelzen Hoxha wants to build a two-story side extension to create two one-bed flats with private entrances in Blackbird Leys Road. A single-story rear extension is also planned. They will add car parking, bins, and cycle storage, including landscaping changes.
William Rodwell wants to keep using a motorcycle training area. He also wants to keep portable cabins and a bicycle shelter. This area is by the Recreation Ground in Sandy Lane.
