Hassan Hussain found guilty of grievous bodily harm after Oxford mosque stabbing. Two others acquitted. Sentencing set for April.

Khan suffered a serious abdominal wound and went to the hospital. Hussain faced charges of attempted murder and causing serious harm. The jury found him not guilty of attempted murder, but guilty of causing grievous bodily harm. His sentencing is set for April 4.
Detective Chief Inspector Thompson released a statement. She called the attack appalling and violent against the victim, stating Thames Valley Police will not tolerate serious violence. They will pursue and prosecute anyone involved in criminal activity.
Police are taking a strong approach to weapons and target those who carry knives. If you carry weapons, expect consequences. The community helps prevent violent crime and should report information about knives or violence to the police.
Two other men, Shahroz Khan and Bilal Khan, were also on trial. They were charged with conspiracy to murder Khan. Shahroz allegedly acted as a spotter at the mosque, while Bilal allegedly drove them away after the stabbing.
Both men claimed they weren’t involved and got acquitted. However, Shahroz Khan will be sentenced on April 4, relating to unrelated offenses committed by him.
