David Webb, 61, died near the A34 Peartree Roundabout in Oxford. An inquest began, citing drowning and heart issues as factors.

His inquest started February 10 at Oxford Coroner’s Court. They performed a post-mortem exam to determine the cause of death. The report lists drowning as a cause, with hypertensive heart disease and heart injury listed as contributing factors.
Earlier this year, police issued a statement about his death, confirming Webb’s body was found near the A34 and Peartree Roundabout, and that he was 61 years old. Police notified his family and are providing support. The death is considered unexplained but not suspicious, and they are preparing a report for the coroner.
Susanna Pressel, city councillor for Osney and St Thomas, commented on Webb’s death, calling it sad and tragic. Coroner Nicholas Graham scheduled a full inquest for June 2 at 2 p.m.
