Plans submitted for Cantay House on Park End Street, envisioning a flexible venue and office space with rooftop access.

They have some cool ideas for the building now. The first floor could become a flexible space, offering live music, a restaurant, or even an event spot. There will also be a main entrance and reception.
Upstairs, they’re thinking of offices. That seems like a good use of space, right? Furthermore, they have a roof terrace in mind, along with a spiral staircase. The front will be fixed up, while part of the back will be removed.
Elwood Fund Management has been working on this since last summer and even talked to locals and counselors in September. They believe it will bring life back to Oxford’s west end and improve what they view as an under-performing area.
This all fits into Oxford’s West End regeneration plans. Nuffield College also wants to develop buildings nearby on Hythe Bridge Street, Park End Street, and Worcester Street. These plans were submitted to the city council on January 28.
Remember Atik? Many students from Oxford University and Oxford Brookes loved it. It closed last year on June 22. Hopefully, the new plans work out well.
