New eateries planned for Gloucester Green and Oxford Castle. Nightclub site transformation considered music venue and offices

The planning statement supports a restaurant, believing it will boost evenings and weekends. The reopening may improve the area and encourage other businesses. New investment might follow too.
Dishion Oxford hopes to open at 41-42 Oxford Castle, on New Road. Dishion is Di Xin Zhao’s first UK location. Di Xin Zhao is a Chinese restaurant based in Hangzhou. Both units are currently empty.
Number 41 housed the library during renovations for the Westgate center. Number 42 was a food and drink place. Plans exist for a Park End Street nightclub site to become a music venue and offices.
Cantay House used to be Atik and Kiss nightclub. Atik closed last June, and Kiss closed last December. The ground floor may become a music venue, restaurant, or event space. Offices would occupy the upper floors. A roof terrace is planned, along with a spiral staircase.
They’ll fix the building front, and part of the back will be demolished. Atik closed June 22nd last year. Craig Gray seeks permission for a larger HMO, changing a six-person HMO to accommodate seven people. This property sits on Rahere Road.
He plans a side extension on the first floor and is adjusting the windows. Bin and bike storage were added into the plans too. Iona Foster submitted Hill Top Road plans and wants to tear down a garage and extension.
A three-story addition is proposed, creating a five-bedroom house. The plan also covers space for bins and bikes and includes an area for private use.
