Three local bookshops are up for a big award. They might win Independent Bookshop of the Year! Mostly Books is in Abingdon. The Wallingford Bookshop is in Wallingford. Caper can be found in Oxford.

Caper even had David Walliams and Matt Lucas visit. They came for book signings! The British Book Awards started in 1990. People call them “the Nibbies”. They are important in the book world.

This year, many bookshops were nominated. Seventy-two independent shops are finalists. These shops are in nine regions. Ten are in Scotland. Ten are in North England, too.
