Justine Stoop wants to build at Field Farm. The farm is on Stratton Audley Road, near Bicester in Stoke Lyne. She has submitted a planning application for the project.

A similar plan for this spot failed last year, having been withdrawn in 2023. This new application includes some changes to address prior concerns.

The plan includes three barns: one with five bedrooms, a second with three bedrooms, and a final barn with two bedrooms.

Cherwell District Council now possesses the application, and public input is needed. Currently, there have been no comments, either positive or negative.

The plan asserts that the design fits the area and respects the site’s given form and surrounding environment. The design also uses newer solutions to integrate with the existing landscape.

The applicant asserts that farming the site isn’t profitable for business use. Converting it into homes makes the most sense from a practical standpoint.

Because the site isn’t easily seen and existing screening helps, the project won’t have an adverse impact on the landscape. The design blends in well with the visual surroundings.

Importantly, they say the design has no significant impact, and adequate access and services are available. Consequently, they don’t see a reason for refusal and desire a timely decision, citing national planning guidelines in their reasoning.
