Ovisher is a popular restaurant on Oxford Road. It opened in Kidlington back in 1981. Locals and tourists both seem to like the place. They have good ratings and reviews on TripAdvisor.

The Cherwell District Council visited Ovisher. Their Environmental Health team came November 27, 2024. Inspectors gave the restaurant a score of zero out of five, saying urgent improvements were necessary.

Two months later, things changed a lot. Ovisher’s team improved their score quite quickly to five out of five stars. The Cherwell team returned January 30, 2025 and saw big improvements in the restaurant’s standards.

Miah, the manager, thanked everyone for their support. He said they quickly fixed their mistakes and would keep delivering excellence. Ovisher has a good history of five-star ratings, and they aim to keep this standard ongoing.

The 28-year-old manager thanked the customers again, appreciating them staying with the business. He was glad they got the five-star rating back and they look forward to serving the community. Three generations have run the business since 1981.
