Solicitor Susan Whitehead removed. Her firm, Ferguson Bricknell, closed after management change. Clients face solicitor search.

The Solicitors Regulation Authority website states they stopped her from working to protect the public. They sometimes let prohibited people work at firms, but regulate them if they do.
The website says Whitehead backdated a Lasting Power of Attorney and reportedly gave a false name to a hospital. She did this to get private information.
Ferguson Bricknell also closed last month, on January 3, due to a management change. The firm was no longer authorized, as the Solicitors Regulation Authority did not allow it anymore.
Ferguson Bricknell can’t represent clients now, and current clients must find a new solicitor. The Solicitors Regulation Authority holds the files, and clients should contact them to get their files back.
The firm previously paid £20,000 due to an investigation because they did not have proper anti-money laundering procedures. The firm failed the public’s trust and also failed to run their business well.
It is not known if the events are linked, including Whitehead’s removal and the firm closing, although the fine might be connected. The tribunal aims to publish details by March.
