Wright seeks permission for a two bedroom custom home in Steventon, Oxfordshire despite local council objections.

Vale of White Horse District Council will decide. They will meet on Wednesday, February 26. Officials are recommending to approve it.
However, Steventon Parish Council is against it. They think the plan overdevelops the land. The council claims it doesn’t fit the area and could negatively impact current neighbors.
The corner is already quite busy, they insist. A large housing site uses it heavily; sight lines are poor and traffic is congested there. Parking also seems inadequate for two homes. The design puts parking on the dangerous corner.
The road serves many purposes, says the council. It leads to a big housing development and it’s also a back route to local schools. The parish council formaly objects to these plans.
Planning officers disagree with the council’s opinion. They think the development is acceptable and say it won’t hurt the neighborhood. They cite visual appeal and road safety. The officers also mentioned flood risk and local wildlife.
