The Pack Horse Inn is expanding! They can convert a house into six new rooms, boosting tourism and jobs.

A village pub got approval to do this. They’re turning a house into rooms. The pub is The Packhorse Inn, in Moulton, on Bridge Street. Philip Turner made the application.
The house is called Ashton Gate. The Chestnut Group bought it awhile back as part of a larger plan to extend Copperfords.
They will tear down the added bits, including a garage and conservatory. Two small bedroom extensions will replace them.
The applicant mentioned how investment helps rural businesses survive. These rooms could host nearly 1,900 people yearly, and three new jobs will be created, growing the team to 39 people.
The new site adds six parking spots to the existing 43 spaces. It features two EV chargers, as well as two disabled bays.
Access will be through the pub’s driveway, closing the current Ashton Gate driveway. Some residents and the council had concerns.
Planners decided against refusal, thinking impacts would be minor. The application actually got approved, but with conditions.
