Mold’s Pancake Day races saw locals, kids, and businesses enjoy a flipping good time. Teams competed in a relay at Daniel Owen Centre.

Mold Town Council organizes the Pancake Race. This year’s race had strong support. The rules? Simple: teams of four compete in a relay race, and each person wears an apron.
Runners flip a pancake three times as they run the length of the square. Then, they pass the pan, the pancake, and the apron to their teammate.
Teams repeated the race, with many running more than once. Jane Evans, who works for Mold Town Council, spoke about the event and said it went well.
Many teams entered the race. Some people ran it for the first time, and volunteers helped a lot. Several businesses took part, including The Beer Lab, the House of Beauty, Flowers By Anne, and Swayne Johnson.
The Post Office and Police were also involved. Kids from local schools attended. Ysgol Maes Garmon, St David’s, Mold Alun, and Glanarfon schools all had teams.
Spaven’s gave pancakes and the prize. Everyone appreciated their contribution, and the kids all loved the Pancake Race. Their excitement made it worthwhile.
The winner will be announced later this week.
