Annan Athletic’s fields are used a lot. Local sports clubs play there weeknights, which causes chaos on North Street. Picking up and dropping off players creates problems.
Jim said parking is everywhere and ridiculous, and he feels the situation is becoming dangerous. He suggested staggering the start times for games. Jim felt like he almost got hit by a car and noticed the issue is getting worse.
They must look at this issue, Jim stated, wondering what it will take to fix it. Jim isn’t blaming any person or group; they will all need to consider this problem.
The club, council, and police talked before. Staggering times isn’t feasible, they found, because volunteers have work commitments. Double yellow lines aren’t a preferred option.
