A traveler on an Iberia flight attacked a crew member, opened an emergency exit, and jumped before takeoff in Paris.

The plane was getting ready to take off, when this passenger stood up suddenly and went to the front. He tried to open the emergency exit, but a flight attendant tried to stop him.
The passenger reportedly attacked her and managed to open the emergency door. He then fell about 11.5 feet onto the ground while the plane’s engines were still running. Wow, right?
Emergency crews quickly detained him, but nobody knows yet why he did it. His condition is also unknown right now, but the flight eventually left for Madrid later, arriving after a four and a half hour delay.
The plane was taken out of service briefly, then resumed flights the next day. They launched an investigation into all this, but this is the second similar incident recently.
Back in December, someone opened an emergency slide on an Iberia Express flight leaving Ibiza. The crew stopped that person from jumping, so things did not get worse there.
