Major progress occurs on Peel Hall. Tree felling begins, demolition starts mid-March to allow access points. New homes due 2026.

Later, plans for 400+ homes got approval last October. This initial phase includes new sports pitches and changing rooms. The broader Peel Hall site will offer services such as a school, care home, shops and leisure spots.
Companies Vistry Homes and Torus shared an update stating tree felling is set to start this week and will last for about ten weeks. Sports pitch work starts in March with a target to finish by October.
Demolition begins March 14 on Poplars Avenue where six houses are being knocked down in Orford. Permission was granted last March for this work to Countryside Partnerships, now owning Peel Hall.
Houses 344-348 are terraced and near Brathay Close, with open fields north of the street. Numbers 458-462 are nearby terraced houses north of the Alders NHS facility, beyond which lie fields.
Demolishing these homes allows approved access points that link to the Peel Hall build. This phase lasts six weeks, potentially closing roads until July/August, as new site access progresses.
Earthworks and utility installs start in March, focusing on Mill Lane’s first home area with first house completions set for January 2026. Completing remaining homes should take until 2028.
Vistry brands the Mill Lane houses “Linden Homes” and the site will be known as “Radley Woods.” Construction traffic will use agreed routes, guided by Warrington Council to keep things safe.
