Over one thousand kids and adults marched, celebrating St David’s Day in Pembrokeshire. The parade took place in the county town on March 7.

Haverfordwest buzzed with excitement. Hundreds of kids from fourteen schools paraded, singing and waving in the town center. This celebrated Wales’ Patron Saint; the parade took place on a Friday.

The Pembrokeshire Language Forum organized the parade, with help from Pembrokeshire County Council. The yearly parade has become popular, drawing participation and enjoyment from schools and people alike.

Samba Doc led the parade with music, starting at the top of town. Children marched down High Street before looping around, ending the parade at Picton Playing Fields where an outdoor celebration was held.

Council Leader Jon Harvey expressed his enthusiasm for the event. He particularly enjoyed seeing Pembrokeshire schools involved.

Catrin Phillips extended her gratitude to the schools, groups, and volunteers who contribute to the event’s success each year. She highlighted the wonderful support shown by people celebrating Welsh language and culture.
