They donated £2,000 to three hospices. St Richard’s, Acorns, and Midlands Air Ambulance received funds. The group expressed gratitude for appeal support. Someone told a charity worker about their impact, sharing a kind comment about people being “true angels.”

International Women’s Day is on March 8. People are urged to celebrate women and raise awareness to stop discrimination. The UN’s theme is “For ALL women and girls.” They want rights, equality, and empowerment for all women, aiming for a feminist future for everyone. Youth empowerment drives change, especially for girls.

The Inner Wheel Club will host talks for the day in 2025 at Peopleton Village Hall on March 7, running from 1:30 to 4:00 PM that Friday. Speakers include Mrs. Beatrice Grant and Anne-Marie. Becca Holman will speak about Sound About, a music charity for the visually impaired.

Professor Sandra Nicholson, Susan Birth, a local artist, Freddie Barker, the poet, and Rebecca Redfern MBE will also be present. Tickets cost £5 each and can be obtained from jancrouch46@aol.com. Profits will go to Parkinson’s UK and other charities.

The Rock Choir is back at Pershore Abbey, singing on Saturday, March 29. Rock Choir, a UK community choir, is led by Jacob Ashworth. Members are from South Worcestershire and Herefordshire.

They will sing rock and popular songs. Tickets cost £15, plus a fee online, and can be purchased from www.pershorerotary.club/concert. Doors open at 6:30 PM, and the concert starts at 7. Wine will be sold during the break.
