James Hilton raised £1420 for Horsfall House running a 100km ultra marathon and volunteering his time with fitness classes.

He ran in the UT100 Ultra Marathon in Cape Town. The race was 100km. He hurt himself early and ran 43km in ten hours before stopping.
James said the race was tough, but he still raised a lot of money. Surpassing his £1,000 target, he is proud to have raised £1,420 for Horsfall House.
James also volunteered his time and gave free fitness classes each month. Residents and staff joined in. They learned about movement and well-being, which he believed was so important at their age.
James said that supporting Horsfall House felt good and that fitness is key at any age. He wanted to help people, especially those without regular exercise.
Jim’s Gym helps folks over 55 with workouts that fit their needs. They’re not boring and help you move with confidence, all from home.
James said the care home residents inspired him. He is thankful for the chance to help. Horsfall House CEO Andy Caudell shared kind words, saying James’ support meant a lot.
Horsfall House is in Minchinhampton and provides great care to older adults and people with dementia. The money helps them improve their services and will help residents a lot.
James hinted at future fundraising in 2025, noting that many charities need our support. He has plans but kept them a surprise.
