Animal waste was dumped in a Stamford resident’s recycling bin. The woman alerts authorities after discovering the gruesome find.

This happened before, back in January. Bettina talked to local businesses. She thinks they are not responsible and believes someone drove there to dump the waste. Bettina wonders where the meat came from. Was it stolen, or unsafe for food?
Bettina told the council and police, whose station is quite near her house. Council member Phil Dilks knows about this incident and feels sorry for the woman. The council looked at the waste in her bin, but they found no marks to identify who dumped it.
The council is helping Bettina secure her bins and asked her to report any new incidents. She worries this might happen again to others. Officers want to stop this behavior and will prosecute if they find enough proof. Businesses must dispose of waste properly, as dumping animal by-products is an offense under The Environmental Protection Act of 1990.
