Two officers injured after their patrol car was rammed during a chase near Armagh. Police seek information from the public.

Cops were patrolling Farnaloy Road when they saw a Toyota Hilux turning onto Hanslough Road. The Hilux didn’t stop when the police asked it to, leading to a short chase.
The Hilux stopped quickly, then reversed fast, hitting the police car badly. The Hilux then sped off towards Monaghan Road, and the police followed it for a bit.
Other officers couldn’t keep chasing safely because it was too risky for everyone else. Two officers got hurt and are in the hospital for care.
A police inspector said it was a terrible event and that the Hilux was a weapon. He added that the damaged police car needs fixing, which affects the local area.
The police think they will catch those responsible and ask anyone with info to call them at 101, using reference 112 of 21/02/25. They especially want to know about the Hilux’s location, noting it likely has quite a bit of front-end damage. You can also contact Crimestoppers if you prefer; their number is 0800 555 111.
