Mark Fleming, a rugby coach, died last autumn. He was 51. His motorcycle crashed with a silver Kia Rio in Drighlington.

The accident occurred on Whitehall Road, near the junction of New Lane. It happened just after 9 AM on September 28, 2024. Mark died at the scene.

Mark was married to Jenny, and they had three kids: Connor, Scarlett, and Ruby. Many people showed love after the crash. He coached young girls’ rugby teams and worked with Drighlington ARLFC.

Jenny left a tribute at the crash site, writing to her husband, her “only love.” She said words couldn’t express her feelings and promised to raise their kids to make him proud. She affirmed that she would always love him.

The Kia driver sustained minor injuries, and police arrested him on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving. He was released on bail while police investigate further.

Police are still investigating the crash. The man arrested remains on bail, West Yorkshire Police confirmed. Their inquiries are ongoing.
