A big fire happened at a car garage. The police are now investigating it. Eight fire engines went to Alexandra Road in Margate. They also used a water carrier and a height vehicle. This was on Saturday morning.

Firefighters used jets to put out the fire, and the road closed in both directions between Ramsgate Road and Helena Avenue. Smoke went into the air and over houses. The garage front had serious damage and partially collapsed, as it is next to an MOT center.

Police helped close the road after a fire report at 5:10 am. They, along with the fire service, want to find the fire’s cause and are both investigating.

Initially, people had to stay away from Alexandra Road. Later, the fire was out, so crews left the place. They used a new robot to help, which records video, checks heat, can talk to people, and even helps remove people.

This robot fights fire with water, spraying 2,000 liters per minute, and people control it from 600 meters away. Nobody got hurt in this fire, but the cause remains unknown.
