A police officer’s appearance in a Bismillah Phones TikTok video led to a West Yorkshire Police review. The officer received feedback.

West Yorkshire Police saw the video and investigated it via their Professional Standard Directorate. They decided it wasn’t serious misconduct, but still felt it was unwise.
The officer got feedback about public trust, and the video was taken down by Saturday after the incident. Bismillah Phones has lots of TikTok followers and often posts happy customer videos.
This particular video had many likes and shares before its removal. A woman saw it and felt disgusted, saying the officer praised the phone deal and the shop itself.
The owner, Kamran Faiz, uses social media for ads and says they ask customers for reviews, even the police officer. Kamran believes nothing was wrong.
He says they thank all customers in the videos and even give discounts to NHS staff. He also confirmed the officer bought a phone and gave his opinion, adding that he doesn’t see why a police review is bad.
Kamran says people come from far away for their great deals. He wants to bring more people to Bradford’s town centre.
