Didcot and Wallingford police address e-scooter misuse, uninsured vehicles, and parking issues during recent patrols.

The police said you can’t insure private e-scooters yet. Rental scooters from companies have insurance, so private scooters can only be ridden on private land with the owner’s permission.
The team seized an uninsured car using Section 165 and spoke with people about parking problems. Issues occurred at Zebra crossings and double white lines by schools, especially at the end of school days.
The police plan more patrols when school restarts, and the team visited people who reported cannabis use nearby. They worked with housing groups to deal with drug use, as some residents broke their tenancy agreements on drugs.
Officers did patrols in busy areas to stop crime, visiting The Orchard Centre, Edmonds Park, and Cholsey Tesco. They wanted to deter shoplifting and bad behavior.
