Police shot two XL bully dogs. They needed 19 shots to stop their attack. It happened to an older man.

The attack occurred on Monday at 6:40 PM on Bardsley Avenue, Warrington. An 84-year-old man was walking there when a dog attacked him.

An XL bully dog got loose nearby and attacked the man in a garden. Cheshire police gave information on the incident, stating he has serious injuries. He’s in Aintree Hospital now, and his condition is critical but stable.

Officers shot and killed the two dogs. They also seized a third, smaller dog. Mark Roberts, Cheshire’s chief constable, said it was a horrific attack involving a suspected XL bully while the man was just walking.

Roberts thinks of them as “weapons” because their size makes them dangerous. He said officers fired 19 shots, all of which hit the dogs, protecting the public. The victim is getting treatment, but the attack will affect him forever.

These dogs are a public danger, and Cheshire police enforce the dog rules. They took over 100 XL bullies off Cheshire streets and hold people accountable.

A 29-year-old woman is in custody, suspected of having a dangerous dog. Police are also looking for a 40-year-old man, as it’s been illegal to own an XL bully without papers in England and Wales.
