Discover the warm atmosphere and community focus of The Foundry Arms, now under Karen’s leadership, where everyone’s welcome.

Karen and her son took over in January 2022 and they say things keep getting better there. Karen feels her son gained a real family there, and she also feels she gained a lot.
Karen is thankful for her loyal customers and wants strangers to feel welcome. “Come as a stranger, leave as a friend” became a motto for the pub, as she believes the people make it special.
The pub used to only cater to veterans, but now Karen wants everyone to feel welcome. She respects the pub’s history and wants more people to join their community.
To honor the past, Karen had poppies painted outside. The pub has raised over £50,000 for the RMA and also supports other veteran charities.
Ian, a regular, calls it the “best pub ever” and says it is faultless. Another regular loves spending Sunday afternoons at the pub.
Sundays have lots of fun things, including Sunday roasts, bingo, and live music, filling the air with laughter. Karen jokes about dancing on tables at your risk.
Karen wants food prices to be low because she knows eating out is hard sometimes. They offer a “build your own” breakfast, which one regular says is a great deal.
Karen tries to help people in any way she can and wants to host a street party for VE Day. She hopes it will bring the community together.
