The Chequers Inn in Poole is getting a £410000 makeover by Punch Pubs & Co., featuring a brand new bar, dining area, and more.

A secret back garden and plush lounge area are also planned. Ryan Andress is the new management partner who believes the pub has great potential. He aims to keep the pub’s familiar feel while improving on its best qualities and is looking forward to the reopening. The pub is very important for the local area.
The inside will feature a traditional pub area, complete with bar stools and rustic furniture. A darts board and leather seating are also planned, as is a new garden room conservatory. The conservatory will be decorated with timber and plants, with herbs in pots to make it feel warm and rustic.
They will serve new seasonal dishes, including mains and puddings. The once-famous carvery will return, making Sundays extra special at the pub. They want families to gather to enjoy roasts with all the trimmings!
The Chequers Inn should reopen in late March. Ryan hopes customers will love the changes and travel there for the food. He also hopes that guests enjoy the drinks.
