Suffolk Highways fixes Cullum Road pothole in Bury St Edmunds after vehicles damaged. Drivers reported the issue in February.

Drivers reported the pothole since February began. They used the Suffolk Highways reporting system. One driver described the pothole as massive and said it was about a football’s depth.
They hit it around 11pm, unable to see it in the dark, which caused a tyre to burst. Dom Martin, 40, and Zoe, 34, also hit the pothole. They worried about hundreds of pounds in repair costs.
One Facebook user called the roads shocking. Another person mentioned hitting the same pothole on Cullum Road last Tuesday and was surprised their tyre survived.
Suffolk Highways stated their current work isn’t about potholes. They are refreshing road lines, which is unrelated to prior repairs.
