A landlady thought bangs were fireworks before learning a woman was shot dead at a pub in Knockholt, Kent.

Michelle Thomas manages the pub and heard loud bangs. She initially thought they were just fireworks, but then she heard screaming and crying. The community is upset.
The victim was a woman, reportedly a mother of two, and around 40 years old. A man she knew killed her in the pub’s car park on Friday. Locals identified them as Lisa and Edvard Stockings; Lisa was at the pub with a friend.
Michelle was preparing dinner when the shooting occurred early in the evening, as people were just starting to sit down. She tried to get everyone inside.
Michelle said Lisa wasn’t a regular but had visited before, mostly during summer. People laid flowers at the pub. The suspect drove to the Dartford Crossing, about seventeen miles away.
Police found his vehicle there with a firearm inside. They think he jumped into the Thames, appearing to have jumped from the Queen Elizabeth II Bridge. The search for his body is ongoing.
