Okay, check this out. They’re planning a big transit system. It’s for West Yorkshire, between cities.

Two main lines are planned first. One goes from Bradford to Leeds. The other links areas within Leeds, think St James Hospital to White Rose Centre.

Almost 4,900 people gave feedback. This feedback shapes the region’s biggest project. The project should start in 2028.

Folks shared thoughts on both transit lines. Only 669 responses came from Bradford. That is just 14 percent of the total.

Leeds residents gave 2,762 responses. Others from West Yorkshire sent 1,202. These areas won’t directly connect at first.

West Yorkshire Combined Authority meets soon. They will discuss this new data then.

Most people favored the Bradford Line. 71 percent of responders liked it. The Leeds Line got 77 percent support overall.

They asked about Bradford Line routes. Three options were presented to everyone. The routes lacked exact street details.

Route B1 goes east from Bradford centre. It follows Leeds Road roughly, think Laisterdyke and Bramley.

Route B2 goes southeast, then east near Bowling Back Lane. It also passes near Laisterdyke. It stretches toward Pudsey before Bramley.

Route B3 mirrors B2 initially. Near Bramley, it shifts southeast. This one hits Armley and Wortley en route.

Support levels spread fairly evenly between routes. Route B1 was slightly favored. They saw similar opposition rates too.

B1 had 55 percent support. B3 got 52 percent. Only receiving 48 percent, B2 lagged slightly behind.

The West Yorkshire Combined Authority will talk about it. Another consultation is coming next year. It will share route specifics then.

Bradford Council wishes more Bradford people had spoken up. This transit system could grow their economy. Better connections benefit everyone, they say.

The council tried to reach people. They used events, mail, email, and social media. They targeted affected communities especially.
