Residents worry the 20 meter mast, intended for 5G, will be too close to homes and visually intrusive.

The 5G mast will have antennas and cabinets. It would be near a Morrisons and Lala’s restaurant. Cornerstone consulted councillors about their plan. Andrew Carter is a Conservative councillor, and he said he doesn’t like the location.
Carter thinks it is too close to homes and believes it’s visually intrusive for residents there. He wants them to find a better spot. Cornerstone claims the site is away from homes, and they think it is the best option because the search area felt very limited.
Cornerstone needs to improve a mast. This existing mast sits at Sunnybank Lane and Bradford Road. Vodafone requires better 4G and 5G coverage there. A second pole is needed to meet these coverage needs. Leeds City Council now considers this application.
