Cheshire radio host trades places with McDonald’s worker in unique job swap experience.

David hosted the show’s last hour live. He learned the equipment quickly and shared local news with little practice.
Paul Smith learned safety rules first, then he helped at McDonald’s. He worked the tills and drive-thru, and he also cleaned and swept.
Jayne Aspin-Mayne, who owns the McDonald’s branches, said the men did a great job. She thought David would be good on radio.
She joked that Paul would like the drive-thru because he likes to talk. She also liked his uniform, saying he looked good in it.
Paul said David was very professional and could do the whole show sometime, so Paul could sleep in longer.
Paul worked at McDonald’s before in Chester when he was in school. He gave extra fries at the drive-thru to listeners.
McDonald’s sponsors the MIX 56 show, called Good Morning Cheshire, which airs on weekdays.
