Reservoir Lane remains blocked a year after a garden wall collapse. Residents seek repairs and road reopening.

The road is still blocked by rubble, sealed off by a chain link fence. Neighbors are eager to know when repairs are scheduled and when the road will reopen.
The council has stated that scaffolding is expected soon. The wall should be stabilized following that work.
Adam Giagnotti, who owns both the wall and the Olive Branch restaurant, has been impacted. The wall, which was part of his garden, collapsed into the road.
One neighbor believes the council should be responsible for the repairs. He stated it is their responsibility as the Highways authority to clear the debris and reopen the street. He’s surprised the road stayed blocked for so long.
He noted that a garage is now completely blocked, affecting an elderly person who needs access. The owner of the blocked garage declined to comment.
Giagnotti said his insurance has not paid, claiming rain was not the cause, but poor construction. He is letting his neighbor park on his drive to help with the blocked garage.
Giagnotti is fighting with his insurance company, because the cost for repair is very high.
The council says they are in communication with the wall’s owner. They will review the lane closure and want to ease overall traffic in the city.
