An Accrington resident lists the rare 2009 Kew Gardens 50p coin on eBay, priced at £199.99, sought after by collectors.

It shows the Chinese Pagoda. The Pagoda is at Kew’s Royal Botanic Gardens. The coin got famous in 2014 when everyone learned it was super rare.
Coin collectors want this coin badly and these often sell for over £100. It is important for a coin collection.
They re-made it in 2019 to mark 50 years of the 50p coin. That version was just for show, not for spending.
Change Checker said it was intense. Some coins traded for hundreds of pounds then, when the coin’s value peaked.
Kew Gardens is a special UNESCO site. It includes glass gardens and a walkway. The Chinese Pagoda is inside and was built in 1761. It is on the rare 50p’s design.
People need to buy it quickly if interested. Someone already has it in their cart and twenty-five others are watching it too. The seller offers free delivery and it should arrive in about two days.
Another seller sells it in Accrington. Their coin has a much higher grade, and will cost you about £1,000.
