Reading Buses has named Berkshire Youth its 2024 charity partner, chosen by employees to support young people county-wide.
Reading Buses employees chose Berkshire Youth after a vote. Three charities were on the shortlist, and the selected charity received nearly half of the total votes.
Robert Williams, the Reading Buses CEO, spoke about the charity, stating that Berkshire Youth fits well with them as they both support young people. He added that Reading Buses offers discounts to young people.
The charity will get ad space on Reading Buses, with screens showing their ads. The Berkshire Youth bus will promote them, and fundraising events will occur all year. The open day is on June 29 this year.
Mr. Williams wants to raise money and show people Berkshire Youth’s work. He hopes for a record-breaking year with them.
Sarah Emery, the Berkshire Youth CEO, also commented, stating they are delighted to be chosen. The partnership will help them and allow them to reach more young people.
