A fundraiser happens March 6 in Reading Town Hall. They will celebrate women from different cultures. The Reading Community Learning Centre inspired this event.

Expect music, dance, drama, and guest speaker talks. Money raised will support two charities: the RCLC and RPCSG.

Reading’s Mayor, Glenn Dennis, spoke about the event. He said it honors women’s global contributions. The evening offers entertainment and inspiration, and he added it will aid crucial local charities.

Aisha Malik leads the RCLC. She expressed thanks for the Mayor’s support and noted the funds will help their work. They assist migrant, refugee, and asylum-seeking women.

Steve Allen represents RPCSG. He shared the group’s delight to participate and emphasized the support women provide to men. He views their strength as a foundation.

The HongYun Dance Group will perform, and the Ukrainian choir Kryla will too. Folk-rock group Dream Sellers also play. See Indian dance from Nrityangana, and Ma Bessie will offer blues and jazz.

Professor Parveen Yaqoob OBE will speak. MP Yuan Yang is another keynote speaker.
