He’s hosting talks about music about albums, bands, and artists. The next one is about Fleetwood Mac, where they will discuss ‘Rumours’.
It’s on February 26 at the White Lion at 7:30 PM in Broadwindsor. He had a Pink Floyd talk. People liked talking about music.
Ian opened Record Vault last year on November 23. He collected records for a while now, starting at his record shop job.
He sold records online for ten years. It felt right to open a store, so he and his wife, Emma, decided to do it. A spot opened at Redlands Yard.
He wants a welcoming place where people can browse and talk music. He wants quality vinyl that is priced well, so customers return often.
Young and older people visit the shop. Vinyl appeals to all ages, he says. Young people like the real feel and the artwork of vinyl.
Younger folks buy classic music too, liking the albums from years ago. Albums are complete musical journeys, which stand out from streaming.
