Old pubs have closed due to many reasons. Local pubs create nice memories. People remember under-age drinking tales. They cherish family nights out. Here are five Bracknell pubs now gone.

The Jolly Farmer was in Binfield. Locals loved this pub and called it a “proper pub.” It featured many characters. The pub became a house after closing. The Jolly Farmer had a carnival float in 1971, and people stayed there until early morning.

The Red Lion was popular in Bracknell, thriving in the late 90s and early 2000s. People enjoyed both its music and good company. Its great location made it a regular spot.

The Winkfield Pub was a landmark, a popular drinking place for many. Friends and families went there for years to celebrate events or enjoy a pint. Its closure after years is seen as sad.

The Blue Lion was on Broad Lane. It was a locals-only pub, that offered fun karaoke nights.

The Running Horse was a popular pub, jammed packed on weekends in the 90s. Rob Readings’ parents ran it from 1982 to 1987. It changed into a restaurant then.
