Yachtsman rescued after beacon activation. Crew faced tough conditions near Brixham.

The coastguard needed their help because a yachtsman activated his beacon southeast of Berry Head, fifteen miles from Brixham at 9:51 am.
The Torbay RNLI crew acted fast and launched their All Weather Boat quickly. By 10:14 am, they headed to the yachtsman.
Dart RNLI and Weymouth RNLI also helped, additionally, Dart RNLI was already training nearby. A search plane and helicopter joined, too, as everyone responded to the coastguard.
The aircraft quickly found the yacht. This helped the lifeboats get there fast.
A Dart RNLI crew member boarded the yacht and found the lone yachtsman injured, who had been at sea for three days. He had a head injury, possible broken ribs, and showed signs of hypothermia.
They moved him to Torbay’s ALB right away and took him to Torquay Harbour, where paramedics waited.
Dart RNLI towed the yacht while a Torbay crew member stayed on board. At 12:10 pm, they gave the man to an ambulance.
Torbay RNLI then towed the yacht and brought it to Brixham by 3:30 pm, where they moored the yacht safely. Torbay’s ALB got refueled quickly, and by 4:20 pm, it was ready for use again.
