Road Works to Disrupt Peeblesshire Traffic on A703 and A702 Routes

They are fixing the A703 Edinburgh Road in Peebles. This work should take eleven days, not counting weekends. It starts on Monday, March 10th. They will use a convoy system from 9 AM to 5 PM each day.

Prep work begins March 3rd. It should take around five days. They will use temporary traffic lights during prep.

March Street junction closes March 17, 18, and 21. This closure happens between 8 AM and 5 PM. Parking on Edinburgh Road will be restricted, also from 8 AM to 5 PM daily.

The A702 closes nightly between Dolphinton and West Linton. This closure starts February 28th and ends March 7th, excluding Saturday and Sunday nights. A signed detour exists using the A721, A701, and Bush Loan Road.

This detour adds about nine minutes to trips. Robinsland roundabout in West Linton closes for resurfacing too. This happens on the nights of March 10th and 11th. The road work fixes potholes and cracks.

It will make travel safer and smoother. They close roads at night to limit problems. They appreciate everyone’s patience.
