KGK Consultants resubmits plans to convert South Street offices above a shop into two one-bedroom flats, addressing prior concerns.

They tried this before, but the council said no last month due to noise and traffic concerns. The new plan is almost the same as before, with the flats located on the first and second floors.
The ground floor houses a gaming center called Lucky Star, which will remain open. Previously, the council worried about noise from the gaming center bothering residents in the flats.
The new plan includes ceilings designed to block sounds, addressing the noise issue. Previously, the council cited traffic concerns, saying the development would hurt traffic flow and create parking problems.
This time, they propose no cars, converting parking spots into bike storage. They will also prevent future residents from parking nearby. The council still needs to decide.
They expect to make a choice by April 9. Prior approval means no formal application is needed for some development projects, and the council will decide if they can move forward.
