After 18 years, the Rose & Crown pub in Bradford is sold. Farewell drinks planned to thank the community for its support.

The owners plan to have farewell drinks later. They want to thank everyone for 18 years of support and give the pub a good send off. Customers expressed sadness about the closing, and others said they would miss the friendly pub.
The Rose & Crown was on Westgate. Fans going to Bradford City games liked it, and they sometimes had an outdoor bar on game days, which helped with crowds inside.
The pub also raised money for charity often. They helped Marie Curie Cancer Care in the past, and last year, they raised money for a local family.
On January 17th, they first shared news of trouble. They had a meeting with the brewery, and the brewery decided they would sell it. It went up for sale and an offer got accepted. CAMRA called it a friendly, two-room pub with a lounge, a game room, and one bar.
