Royal Navy’s Peter Macaulay runs the London Marathon to raise money for Alabaré, a Salisbury-based homeless charity.

Peter Macaulay will be in the race this year. He used to live in Salisbury and went to Coombe Bissett Primary and BWS.
Peter is running his very first marathon. He wants to raise money for Alabaré, a homeless charity in Salisbury.
Alabaré helps vulnerable people all over the UK with drop-in centers and rehoming programs. Alabaré also offers special support and aided 2,894 people last year. The need for help keeps growing.
Peter serves as a Royal Navy Officer. He supports Alabaré’s work with veterans. They help veterans find jobs and overcome addiction, and Alabaré also aids them in regaining their independence.
Peter feels honored running for Alabaré and gets to achieve a personal goal. He is happy to support something he cares about.
Alabaré is based in Salisbury, but they also have projects across the country. Peter appreciates all support he can get because even small donations help a lot. He hopes to raise awareness for the charity.
Peter is a keen runner already, but he still needs to train a lot beforehand. He must prepare for the marathon in bad weather.
