Ryton Housing Development Sees Over 150 Homes Completed So Far

Bellway is building homes in Ryton. They are building 180 homes at Summerhill View and Ashberry Homes is also building there. Ashberry is part of Bellway Group; they are constructing 103 homes at Stargate Meadows. Work started in 2022, and they have finished 156 homes to date.

People started moving in January 2023, and now, 130 homes have people living in them. Construction is more than halfway done now, and a new community is forming in Ryton.

The homes attract first-time buyers and families to the area. Local buyers seem to really like these homes, particularly the location. People like that it feels rural, even while being near the city.

Summerhill View and Stargate Meadows both have houses for sale offering two, three, or four-bedroom houses. Bellway and Ashberry are building a significant number of homes.

They are building 240 homes for sale, with fifteen homes having discounted prices for locals. Also, twenty-eight homes are designated for affordable rent. Work should wrap up in 2026, with both sites expected to be complete then.
