Nasen Saadi attacked two women on Bournemouth beach in May 2024. Amie Gray, 34, died, while Leanne Miles was seriously hurt. Prosecutors called it a “savage” and random act.

The court found Saadi guilty of murder and attempted murder, with his sentencing set for March 28. The Met Police received a complaint in June 2024 concerning a stalking allegation against Saadi from earlier, separate from the murder case.

The Met received the complaint on June 3 and informed the IOPC on June 7. The IOPC returned it for a local probe. The Met investigation is now complete, finding “no case to answer.” The complainant is aware of the outcome and can request a review from the IOPC.

The IOPC states the complainant has 28 days to request a review, and they haven’t yet received one. Dorset Police charged Saadi with murder on May 31. Three days later, on June 3, the Met received a complaint within their Greater London policing area, separate from the Bournemouth murder.

The prosecutor stated Saadi chose to “hurt” and “butcher” as he attacked the women. People remembered Amie Gray fondly as a healthy personal trainer, age 34. She was a daughter, wife, and mother, loved very much, whose life ended at the beach.
